Wow...I'm Somebody

Ok...remember the movie "The Jerk" with Steve Martin? He gets his name in the phone book and in a spastic fit yells and runs down the street "I'M SOMEBODY."

Short of the spastic fit and the coronary (or frostbite) from running down the street right now (It's cold cold cold today)...I get to yell "I'M SOMEBODY!!!

I got listed on someone else's blog.

Thanks Dave! (His link is over at the side)

New Knitty is Out!

Yeah, it's alright...run away...go read it.

What I Like [IDEAS]

Ok, so this is going to be way off topic, but I read it in another blog and it really hit home. Stumbling on to a gem of a blog, where the author as managed to put a little bit of him or herself into words...without even ever having met this person, anyone who reads will learn about, grow to love (or hate) and create a virtual relationship with the blogger they share time with. Does this mean you "know" the person. Read the note from another blog, then let's talk.

It's just a tad bizzare, isn't it, that total strangers are also friends. I said to my son's teacher the other day, "A woman I know just finished knitting the most amazing socks..." But I found it hard to describe how we "know" each other. I'm glad I know you in any sense...

Total strangers as friends. I like that idea. That's what we need more of in this life. As a member of another online community, I'm participating in a "Secret Santa" activity. Not ever really "knowing" the person we've been assigned, we're going to select a gift and send it off into the void; to be recieved and (hopefully) enjoyed. Total strangers as friends. I like it.

What do you think? I'm starting a new link list. "Friends That Don't Know Me" Who knows? Maybe I'll get to know a lot more new people!
