It's Christmas

Well no, not really. But it is TIME to get ready for Christmas. I've got some ideas cooking, and I'll post what I can so you can follow along. Remember, these are Christmas presents...I'll try and not give away where they are going, just in case someone I'm gifting checks out the blog.

1. Crochet Lapgan
I'm currently working on a granny square lapgan in mint green and chocolate brown chunky malabrigo. Two large squares, surrounded by smaller squares, with the corners replaced with triangular "half grannies". Seams and edging on one side done in the chocolate, the opposite side in the mint. Tasty cool, and everyone that sees it so far says "ICE CREAM"

2. Sling Bag
I really like the Cat Borhdi Moebius Cast On...I finish one and tell myself I'm done, but then end up with another one on the needles. This time I'm going to combine my love of felting with the project. I'm going to make a sling bag in black with the pockets knitted in a crazy hand dyed color. Malabrigo Chunky is my choice...still thinking about the pocket colors...pictures to come.

3. Vest
I found a great ring at the ren faire this year and I'm going to incorporate the braid from the ring into several projects...the first one is a simple pull over vest. I'll work this one in Pure Merino, just because it needs to be washable, but I'm not about to do a vest in something man made...pictures to come here too.

4. Cardigan.
